OpportunityZA respects the privacy of Candidates, Employers, website visitors and other users.
This Privacy Policy explains how OpportunityZA collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and otherwise processes personal information when users:

  • Complete a profile
  • Upload a CV
  • Submit or apply for a vacancy
  • Purchase or activate an Employer package

Candidates may be required to complete parts of a profile before applying for an opportunity.
Candidates should not upload unnecessary identity documents, banking information, account passwords or sensitive personal information through a CV, profile or application message.

When an Employer registers, purchases a package or submits a vacancy, OpportunityZA may collect:

  • Company or agency name

  • Business-registration information, where applicable

  • Company description
  • Company logo and brand assets
  • Direct Employer or agency classification

  • Provide Featured, Urgent and promotional services

When a Candidate applies for a vacancy, OpportunityZA may share relevant application information with the Employer responsible for that vacancy.
This information may include:

  • Candidate profile

  • Application message
  • Skills and experience
  • Education and employment history
  • Application date and status
The Employer may use this information only for legitimate recruitment relating to that vacancy.
At launch, an Employer may access applicants to the Employer’s own vacancies. General access to the wider Candidate database or Candidate contact details is not automatically included in an Employer advertising package.
Candidates should review the vacancy and Employer information before submitting an application.

12. EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES

An Employer who receives Candidate information through OpportunityZA must:
  • Use it only for legitimate recruitment
  • Protect it against unauthorised access
  • Avoid sharing it unnecessarily
  • Avoid using it for unrelated marketing
  • Retain it only for a legitimate period
  • Comply with applicable privacy and employment laws
  • Respond appropriately to Candidate privacy requests
  • Not sell or trade Candidate information
An Employer may act as a separate responsible party for Candidate information received through the Employer’s vacancy and recruitment process.

13. PAYMENT INFORMATION

OpportunityZA may use third-party payment providers, including Payfast, to process payments.
The payment provider may collect and process information such as:
  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Billing information
  • Payment method
  • Transaction amount
  • Payment reference
  • Fraud-prevention information
  • Payment status
OpportunityZA does not intentionally store full payment-card information.
Payment processing is also subject to the payment provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

14. SERVICE PROVIDERS

OpportunityZA may use third-party service providers to operate and support the platform, including providers of:

  • To a Candidate where Employer information is displayed with a vacancy

  • To law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required
  • To protect users, OpportunityZA or another person
  • To investigate suspected fraud or unlawful conduct
  • Where the user has consented
  • Where another lawful basis permits disclosure
OpportunityZA does not sell Candidate or Employer personal information.
